Club Name: Metallons
The Mechanical Engineering Students Association METALLONS of YIT aims to play a pivotal role in the development of students as engineers by various out-of-curriculum and extracurricular activities. METALLONS aims to inculcate among its members an awareness and appreciation of the various disciplines of not just Mechanical Engineering but also other relevant fields. By way of its activities METALLONS aims to be a platform for all the students of YIT in general and particularly of the students of Mechanical Engineering department
“METALLONS”, a Greek word meaning working with metals, is an association of Mechanical Engineering students, aims to play a vital role in the overall personality development of students by organizing various co-curricular and extracurricular activities, hence training them to face the cutting edge of future global challenges comfortably. It encourages the students to showcase their budding hidden talents and innovative thinking capability by inculcating among its members awareness, knowledge and appreciation of various other relevant fields other than Mechanical Engineering.Various programs organised by “METALLONS” include technical talks by guests, students seminar, students technical paper presentation, quiz competition, debates on various issues, Mock Interview, Workshops on recent technologies, Industrial training, Inter branch YPL matches, cultural activities, final year project exhibition, entrepreneurship training and Sayonara – a farewell function to final year students. In this way “METALLONS” aims to provide a platform to all the students of YIT, especially to the students of Mechanical Engineering department.
