Eco Innovate, a competition organized by the Rotaract Club of YIT, was held on 18th July 2024, encouraging participants to present innovative solutions focused on environmental sustainability and eco-friendly practices.

A Boot Camp event was organized on 9th October 2025 at Yenepoya Institute of Technology exclusively for 2nd PUC students, aiming to introduce them to emerging trends in Technology and Higher Education.

The Graduation Day 2024 promises to be a memorable event, celebrating the achievements of YIT students and faculty. Prof P L Dharma, vice chancellor of Mangalore University, Mangaluru, was the chief guest, while Dr Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, presided over the ceremony.

Prof. Harikanth S, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at YIT, completed the PRCN (Pre-Commissioned Course) at the Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, from 29-08-2024 to 09-10-2024. During the course, he participated in various activities, including handling a .22 rifle, physical training and drill practices.

The Installation Ceremony of the Rotaract Club of YIT was held on 23rd October 2024, graced by esteemed resource persons including Poornachandra Jain, President of Rotary Club, Temple Town, Moodbidri, Harish M.K., Secretary of the same club, Umesh Rao as the Installation Officer, and Praveen Parera, Zonal Lieutenant.

The NSS Unit of Yenepoya Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the Blood Bank at Yenepoya Medical College, Derlakatte, organized the Blood Donation Camp 2024 at Yenepoya Institute of Technology. Held on November 6, 2024, at 9:00 AM, the camp was supported by the Lions Club Moodabidri, Rotary Club Moodabidri Temple Town, and HDFC Bank.

Yensmash, an Volleyball Tournament, was organized by the Department of Physical Education in collaboration with the Information Science and Engineering (ISE) Department of Yenepoya Institute of Technology from 8th to 12th November 2024. The event was graced by Mr. Poornachandra Jain of Prabhath Silks, and Mr. Anees Zakir of Wafa Enterprises

Yen Quest, an engaging event organized for PUC students, was held on 12th November 2024, aiming to ignite curiosity and foster interest in technical and non-technical domains through a series of interactive activities and challenges.

YIT’s Male Athletes brought pride to the institute by winning medals in 5 categories 1. Amar Naik - Silver in the under-55 kg category. 2. Praneeth Shetty - Gold in the under-67 kg category. 3. T K Shrinivas - Bronze in the under-81 kg category. 4. Mohammed Hafeez - Bronze in the under-89 kg category. 5. Thushar - Bronze in the under-108 kg

YIT’s female athletes secured medals in four categories 1. Manya S K (4DM23IS018) - Gold in the under-55 kg category. 2. Nithya S P (4DM22EC036) - Gold in the under-71 kg category. 3. The NSS Unit of Yenepoya Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine, Yenepoya Medical College (Deemed to be University), organized a Medical Health Check-up on 18 November 2024 at the YIT campus. All the students of Yenepoya Institute of Technology availed themselves of the benefits of the health check-up.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Yenepoya Institute of Technology (YIT) and Conceptia Connect Technologies Pvt. Ltd. on November 20, 2024. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices by providing training, and skill development initiatives for students of Mechanical Engineering.

The Yenepoya Premier League, a cricket tournament, was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports in collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering Department from 22nd to 25th November 2024. The event was graced by Mr. Nazeer Fidha, President of Souhardha Sports Club, Kuppepadavu, who encouraged students to embrace sportsmanship.

An awareness program on LinkedIn was conducted for first-year students at Yenepoya Institute of Technology on 3rd December 2024. The session was led by Ms. Haveena Ravi, who guided students on building a strong professional profile, networking effectively, and leveraging LinkedIn for career growth and opportunities.

A workshop on building a Soccer Bot from scratch was organised on 10th Dec 24 at Yenepoya Institute of Technology, by IEEE in association with YenThraman Robotics Club, YIT. Guided by Dr. Shashank M Gowda, the workshop introduced students to fundamental concepts in robotics and fostering skills on building robot from scratch.

The Staff Cricket Match was organized on 11th January 2025 by the Department of Physical Education and Sports in collaboration with the Student Welfare Department at Yenepoya Institute of Technology. Women’s Day Celebration was held on 13th March 2025 at Yenepoya Institute of Technology, featuring various competitions and activities. Prof. Vani, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, YIT, was the Resource Person for the event.

The College Internal Complaints Committee (CICC) of Yenepoya Institute of Technology (YIT), Moodbidri, organized an insightful awareness talk on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment in the Workplace on 27th March 2025. This session was specifically conducted, reinforcing the institution’s dedication to fostering a safe environment.

The IEEE Orientation Day at Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri was successfully held on April 4, 2025, with the primary objective of introducing students to the professional growth opportunities available through IEEE. Yensplash, a vibrant cultural event, was hosted at Yenepoya Institute of Technology on 25th April 2025, bringing together students from various departments to celebrate creativity, talent, and cultural diversity. The event featured an exciting lineup of performances, including group dances, solo singing, skits, fashion shows, & musical acts.

NSS Unit of Yenepoya Institute of Technology conducted in annual camp between 28th April to 1st June 2025 at Government Higher Primary School, Koppadakumeru. Over 50 students actively participated in the program.

IQAC in association with ISTE and IEEE student branch jointly organized awareness talk on AI Applications by Dr. U C Niranjan, Adjunct Prof, Director Research and Training, Manipal Dot Net, Manipal on 7th May 2025. Dr. Niranjan gave an overview of AI and its core concepts in machine learning, deep learning and data-driven intelligence.

To commemorate World Intellectual Property Rights Day, which is observed on April 26th, a guest talk on the topic Copyright in Music was organized on May 12, 2025. The objective of the session was to create about the importance of protecting musical works and to provide insights into the legal framework surrounding the copyright in music.

Yenepoya Institute of Technology organized VTU Consortium training program on EBSCO Engg Suite & AMA Microcourses and IEEE Xplore, on 14th May 2025. Mr. M.S. Srinivasa Training Manager Karnataka and Telangana EBSCO and IEEE was the resource person. The objective of the training was to create awarenessabout the importance of EBSCO and IEEE Xplore.

On May 14th, the IEEE Student Branch of YIT organized a technical talk on the topic Engineering Seismology. The session was delivered by Dr. Katta Venkataramana, Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at NITK Surathkal. During the session, he provided an insightful awareness talk on earthquakes and their engineering aspects.

The NSS Unit of Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri in collaboration with the Blood Bank at Yenepoya Medical College, Derlakatte, organized the Blood Donation Camp 2025 at the Yenepoya Institute of Technology. The event aimed to promote voluntary blood donation & contribute to saving lives. It was held on 20th May 2025.

On 27th May 2025, a significant MoU was signed between Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Mangalore, & Yenepoya Institute of Technology. The event began with a welcome by Mr. G. On 31-05-2025 the Microsoft Certification Program for the Students has been successfully completed across multiple departments of YIT. Students from CSE, ISE, and AIML completed the AZ-900 (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) certification. S Sakhib secured Highest score in AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals – 985/1000

On 31-05-2025 the Microsoft Certification Program for the students has been successfully completed across multiple departments of YIT. Students from ECE and EEE completed the PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals) certification. Gudi Praveen Scored Highest score in PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals – 946/1000.

On 31-05-2025 the Microsoft Certification Program for Students has been successfully completed across multiple departments of YIT. Students from CSE(IoT) completed the SC-900 (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) certification. The International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at YIT. The event witnessed active participation from NCC cadets, faculty members, the Associate NCC Officer (ANO), and the Permanent Instructor (PI) staff. A yoga session was conducted by Mrs. Vani R, Asst. Professor of ME Dept. who guided the participants through various asanas.
