The department of Engineering Chemistry exists from the day of the inception of the college in 2008. The department caters basic science courses in Chemistry to all under graduate programs. The department practices Outcome Based Education since 2016. The department has well qualified and experienced staffs who involve themselves actively to achieve the vision and mission of the department.
To support academic excellence of the institution, by nurturing enthusiasm, interest and fervor in the study of chemistry in Engineering Programs, as a part of curricula.

The First Year Engineering Students Association(FYESA), YIT, in association with the Department of Chemistry, organized a talk on “E-Waste Management” for the first-year students on 9th June 2025. Dr. Anna Thomas, Associate Professor in the Department of E&C Engineering, YIT, Moodbidri, was the esteemed resource Person.
