It is indeed a great pleasure for me to welcome you to Yenepoya Institute of Technology, an institution with determination characterized by its unwavering commitment to imparting quality education through persistent efforts, resilience in the face of challenges, and a strong resolve to achieve the objectives. Over the past years, YIT has transformed into a premier hub of learning with state-of-the-art infrastructure and well-qualified and experienced faculty members, deeply committed to delivering outcome-based technical education driven by creativity, innovation, and societal impact.

At YIT, we give special emphasis to the student-centric teaching-learning process with special focus on experiential learning and interdisciplinary research. We impart students with a curriculum not just to provide a strong theoretical foundation, but to equip them with critical thinking, analytical frameworks, skill development, entrepreneurial skills, and leadership qualities that enable them to be competent and the fittest in a challenging global environment. Our research thrust is on emerging areas, but not limited to AI with a special focus on health care applications, Cyber Security, IoT, Electric Vehicles, VLSI, and Radiation Physics.

A key strength of YIT is our robust industry-academia collaboration and Centers of Excellence and Research Laboratories. The leading industries enable hands-on learning and real-world problem-solving abilities of faculty members and students. The centers of excellence and research laboratories established with the funding support of various government agencies play a pivotal role in the skill development of students. This makes our industry ready to solve daunting challenges of the society. The New Age Innovation Network (NAIN) scheme of Government of Karnataka is implemented to create an ecosystem that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship. Beyond academics, YIT provides a holistic experience with a lot of opportunities in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The technical clubs, IEEE Student Branch, ISTE Student Chapter, cultural activities, sports and games, community service, and many more activities shape students into not only competent engineers but also responsible and ethical citizens.
