Faculty Development Programme on “ MODELLING OPTIMIZATION & ANALYSIS OF ENGINEERING PROBLEMS USING SOFT COMPUTING TECHNIQUES“
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Yenepoya Institute of Technology , Moodbidri had organized a Faculty Development Programme on “ MODELLING OPTIMIZATION & ANALYSIS OF ENGINEERING PROBLEMS USING SOFT COMPUTING TECHNIQUES“ from 30th March -1st April 2021. The program was inaugurated by Dr R G D Souza , Principal and Mr Mohd. Shahid, Campus Administrator, YIT along with Dr.Vijay G S and Dr. Siddappa I B, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical & Mfg.Engg. MIT, Manipal .Faculty from YIT and other institutes participated in the Three days faculty development programme.
Topics covered: Introduction to MATLAB, Analysis of mechanical vibrating systems for a response using MATLAB, Mathematical modeling of problems, Optimization of Single objective and multi-objective problems..Dr. Sathisha N, Head of the department welcomed the gathering and Prof Ravindra Naik and Prof Jaganesh G C.introduced the resource persons of the FDP .Mr. Anfas Mukram T, Asst Professor of ME department proposed the vote of thanks. Prof Sujay compered the inaugural programme . The Sessions started with Introduction to MATLAB, Analysis of mechanical vibrating systems for a response using MATLAB.
On the Second Day(31/03/2021): a Industrial visit to YENEPOYA Technology Incubator Yenepoya ( Deemed to be University)was arranged along with Demo sessions on various equipment available. On third day(01/03/2021)of the FDP topics like Mathematical modeling of problems, Optimization of Single objective, and multi-objective problems were dealt wherein participants got hands-on exposure to MATLAB.
Felicitation and Valedictory programme was held in the evening and feedback was collected from the participants.
